June 7, 2015, in a village Tatarskaya Kargala of the Sakmar region of the Orenburg oblast the VI All-Russia village Sabantui to be held.
Batyrs from across the country will take part in rural Sabantui. The artists and collectives from Tatarstan will perform with their concerts at the event. It is expected that guests of Sabantui in Tatarskaya Kargala will become thousands of people from different regions of Russia.
All-Russia village l Sabantui is held since 2010. The first rural Sabantui was held in the Samara region in 2011, the festival was held in the Republic of Chuvashia, in 2012 – in the Chelyabinsk region, in 2013 – in the Perm region, in 2014 – in the Volgograd region. Today Sabantui holiday is not only a visible manifestation of the national identity of the Tatar people, but also serves to strengthen mutual understanding between nations, mutual cultural enrichment. Holiday Sabantui combines typical Tatar people hospitality, cheerfulness and optimism and open nature, popular and accessible holiday attracts to maidan people of all ages, nationalities and social groups.
Orenburg region has been chosen to host all-Russia village Sabantui 2015 not by chance. “Orenburg – a multinational land – governor of the Orenburg region Yuri Berg says – we have accumulated rich experience of interethnic and inter-religious dialogue, the representatives of 126 nationalities live in the oblast, in an atmosphere of peace and mutual understanding.” The venue of holding Sabantui was chosen an old village of Tatar Kargala, which is located 8 km from Orenburg city. The village was founded in 1744 as a trading settlement on the River Srenyaya Kargalka by a group of Tatar people from the Kazan uyezd (district). In XVIII-XIX centuries, the village was a major center of transit trade between Central Asia and Russia. The general population was engaged in handicraft production (22 productions and 20 mills), trade, arable farming. In 1897, the population was over 13 thousand residents. At the beginning of XX century there were 10 mosquesin Kargala, with working under them madrassas and mektebi. According to the 2010 census, the current population of the village Tatar Kargala makes 3 800 people, the predominant nationality – Tatars (90%). In the village there are three mosques, two historical – Kush Manara and the White Mosque, as well as new – As-salaam.
To coordinate the work of the All-Russian village Sabantui in Orenburg, the organizing committee, chaired by Vice-Governor – Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Orenburg oblast in internal politics Oleg Dimov was set up. The work of the organizing committee supervises personally Governor Yuri Berg, reports the portal of the Government of the Orenburg oblast. On the part of Tatarstan consulting and logistical support is provided by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Minister of Culture, personally, Airat Sibagatullin.
