At the House of Friendship of the Peoples of Tatarstan a qualifying round of the beauty and talent contest “The Beauty of Uzbekistan – 2019” was held.

In total, 16 girls applied for participation in the competition. At the qualifying round, the participants presented their creative items  and video presentation about themselves. The pretenders sang folk songs and dances, and also presented a stage word. According to the results of the qualifying round, 6 Uzbek girls came to the finals, who came to study at the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan from Tashkent and Rostov-on-Don.

An activist of the Tatar Youth Council of the Tatar Public Cultural and Educational Center (TOCTS) of Tashkent, and now a first-year student at the Institute of Polymers, Kazan National Research Technological University (KNITU-KKhTI), performed an Uzbek dance and spoke about herself in Uzbek.

The final of the contest will take place on March 21 at  the House of Friendship. The winner will traditionally represent Uzbekistan at the International Student Beauty and Talent Contest “Pearl of the World-2019”, which will be held in Kazan.

The jury consisted of Abdumanob Abdusatarov, head of the national cultural autonomy of Uzbeks of the Republic of Tatarstan, Sabina Musayeva, lady winner of the first “Beauty of Uzbekistan” contest, Alisher Karimov, director of the youth contest, and Ramir Migranov, a student of the National Research and Technical University of Kazan Technical University.

The competition is traditionally organized by the national-cultural autonomy of the Uzbeks of the Republic of Tatarstan and the regional public organization “Youth from the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Tatarstan”.
