An exhibition dedicated to the anniversary of tatar theologian Musa Bigiev opens in Kazan

On Thursday, an exhibition titled “With Hope in Divine Mercy” opened in Kazan at the Museum of Islamic Culture of the Kul Sharif Mosque. The exhibition is dedicated to the memory of the outstanding Tatar philosopher, theologian, and educator Musa Yarullovich Bigiev, whose 150th anniversary is being marked this year.

The exhibition traces the scholar’s life journey. It features a rich collection of photographs from the Bigiev family archive, as well as personal belongings of Musa Yarullovich.

In addition, a collection of Bigiev’s works was presented at the exhibition, including such writings as “The History of the Qur’an and Its Compilations” and “Proofs of Divine Mercy.”

At the opening ceremony, Almira Tagirdzhanova, the wife of Musa Bigiev’s grandson, delivered a speech. She had consulted the organizers during the preparation of the exhibition. In her address, she spoke about Musa Bigiev’s personality:

“Musa Efendi strongly urged everyone to educate their children and ensure they received a proper education…”

After the official part of the event, Almira Naimovna gave a brief guided tour of the exhibition’s displays and photographs.

The exhibition will run until March 31, 2026.
