In Moscow, within the Museum-Reserve “Tsaritsyno”, an exhibition dedicated to Tatar arts and crafts and their evolution in the urban environment opens on 11 December.
The exposition includes over four hundred exhibits, amongst which are Bulgar gold from the 12th century, silver from the Golden Horde era, household items, clothing, footwear, books and magazines from the late 19th century, and the renowned shamail, which became a phenomenon of Tatar culture.
The exhibition “City and Craft. Meeting in Kazan. Traditional Art of the Volga Tatars” continues the series of Tsaritsyn projects dedicated to the culture and traditional art of the Muslim regions of Russia.
