In order to preserve and develop Tatar culture and traditions, as well as to promote the Tatar language and art among young people, the International contest “Tatar Kyzy – 2026” has been launched. Applications for participation in the regional stages are accepted until July 5, 2026.

The contest will be held in three stages: the regional stage, the semifinal, and the final. The semifinal will take place in Kazan in August 2026, and the final will be held in October 2026 in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.

Participants must be between 18 and 27 years old and have a fluent command of the Tatar language. At each stage of the contest, participants will demonstrate their abilities in national costume defile, as well as in intellectual and creative tasks.

The main goal of the contest is to preserve and promote the traditions and language of the Tatar people and to present them to the world. The contest is aimed at revealing the creative potential of participants and supporting their personal and professional development.
