On July 5, 2025, the first ethnocultural festival “Amber Sabantuy” was held in the village of Kulikovo, Kaliningrad Region, on a picturesque meadow near the SOBRANIE entertainment complex. The celebration brought together around 1,000 guests and became a vibrant event for the entire region.
The festive opening featured speeches by officials: Chairman of the Kaliningrad Regional Public Organization “Kardashlar” Amir Khairullin, Head of Department at the Ministry of Internal Policy Valery Egorkin, Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan Artur Nikolaev.
The festival blended culture, creativity, and craftsmanship: a village fair featuring national autonomies, a marketplace of artisans, and dozens of master classes — from patchwork dolls to stone and textile painting.
Lively fun reigned in the traditional games and competitions zone:
a köräş wrestling tournament, races with yokes, sack races, pillow fights, children’s activities, and inflatable attractions.
The concert program brought together performers from several regions of Russia, including:
-
Alsu Abulkhanova, People’s Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan
-
Rail Sagdiev, Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan
-
Kaliningrad ensembles: Gratsiya, Kazachya Zastava, Triumph, and Khayane
-
A final DJ set by People’s DJ of Tatarstan DJ Suleyman
The Amber Sabantuy became a true celebration of friendship, remembrance, and unity — blending Tatarstan’s culture with the shores of the Baltic Sea.
