Residents of the Irkutsk region are invited to the traditional Tatar festival “Sabantui”, which will be held this year in the village of Zalari.
As the press service of the Center for Indigenous Culture of the Baikal region informs, all original Tatar traditions and customs, songs, ceremonies, games were connected in Sabantui, the ancient holiday of the Tatar-Bashkir peoples, which marks the end of spring-sowing works.
This year, the Tatar holiday “Sabantuy” will be held on June 10 in Zalari village, the Zalarinsky district.
Guests are expected to get acquainted with the culture of the Tatar people: spectacular national wrestling “koresh”, folk dances, traditional Tatar melodies, real chak-chak and kystyby. A traditional gift for all will be the performance by invited artists from Kazan.
The festival starts at 10:00. For residents of Irkutsk will be organized transport to the village of Zalari: from 8:30 every 30 minutes from the railway station.
