At the Museum of Islamic Culture the exhibition of Shamails by Najip Nakkash opens

On February 7, at 15:00, an exhibition dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the creative path and the 70th anniversary of the classic of Tatar shamails Nadzhip Nakkash opens at the Museum of Islamic Culture, the press service of the museum reports.
Nadzip Nakkash is the winner of the State Award of the Republic of Tatarstan named after Gabdulla Tukai, a classic of Tatar shamail, one of the first to revive the traditions of this art. At the thirty-third solo exhibition the author will presented his works in such genres as tugra (personal signs, family emblems), shadzhara (genealogy), shamail (compositions combining calligraphy and painting), lauha (works with literary quotes).
For the first time, the shamails from the series “The Great Personalities of the Tatar Nation” will be on display, among them the ones dedicated to Ryzaetdin Fakhretdinov, Shigabutdin Mardzhani, Gayaz Iskhaki. From the collection of the Kazan Kremlin Museum-Preserve, a series of Najip Nakkash shamails will be presented, dedicated to the prophets of Abrahamic religions: Yakub, Yusuf, Ayub and Musa.
