The results of the All-Russian competition for stage productions based on the works of contemporary playwrights have been announced — among the winners is the Buinsk State Drama Theater with its production “Come Back Home.”

In the year marking the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, special attention was given to performances reflecting Russia’s historical events, heroic deeds, and the courage of the Russian people, including participants and veterans of the special military operation.

The project resonated with the professional community across the country. A total of 51 applications were submitted from 29 regions — ranging from Khabarovsk Krai to Kursk Oblast.

Participants were evaluated by an expert commission composed of leading figures in the theatrical arts. Following the selection process, 17 productions were chosen, 8 of which are dedicated to the events of the special military operation, including plays by the winners of the “Time of Drama” competition.

The selected theaters will receive financial support to stage new productions, with premieres scheduled to take place between August 1 and December 1.

Such competitions align with the goals of the federal project “Family Values and Cultural Infrastructure” under the national project “Family.”
