The culinary contest “The Cookbook of Transbaikali” will be held as part of the Second Interregional Festival “Onon: The Connection of Times and Peoples”. It will take place on August 18 in the village of Aksha, Trans-Baikal Territory, the press service of the educational and methodological center of culture and folk art of the region reports.
Representatives of the indigenous peoples of the North, the Armenian, Bashkir, Buryat and Tatar diasporas of the region, as well as Russian Germans, are invited to the event. Participants will prepare dishes of their peoples and talk about the traditions and customs of national cuisine.
Diplomas will be awarded to the winners in the nominations: “For preservation of national culinary traditions”, “For the best taste”, “For original culinary composition”, “For original serving of dishes” and “For the best recipe and preparation of the national dish”. After the competition, all the recipes of the participants will be included in the Transbaikal Cookbook.
