At a meeting of the Commission under the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan on State Prizes, the candidates for the 2026 Gabdulla Tukay State Prize were determined.

The list of potential 2026 nominees includes:

• Creative group “Kazanga Tukay Kaytkan” (“The Return of Tukay”): Rezeda Rifatovna Zainieva, Aidar Talgatovich Zabbarov, Emil Mansurovich Talipov – for the play “Kazanga Tukay Kaytkan” (“The Return of Tukay”).
• Creative team of the Kazan Choreographic School: T.Z. Shakhnina, O.A. Borodina, V.M. Zakamskaya, M.E. Mamin-Ogly, T.Kh. Khantimirova – for their contribution to the preservation and development of the Republic of Tatarstan’s choreographic art, including the 2024 ballet “The Enchanted Boy” by Z. Khabibullin (libretto based on Tatar folk tales and Gabdulla Tukay’s works), as well as the series of children’s fairy tale ballets staged from 2006–2023: “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” by K. Khachaturian, “The Nutcracker” by P. Tchaikovsky, “The Scarlet Flower”, “Morozko”, “The Snow Queen” with music by 19th–20th century composers.
• Ilsiyar Vazikhovna Garipova (Ilsiyar Iksanova) – for the poetry collection “Utkellarne utu – donya ketu” (“To Pass Through Life – To Cross the Passes”).
• Rafis Kharisovich Kurbanov (Rafis Kurban) – for the books “Axmarev” (“Akhmerov”), “Vatan” (“Fatherland”), “Alish”, and the novella “Tankists”.
• Liliya Faisovna Siraeva (Liliya Gibadullina) – for the poetry and epic collection “Dawamı bar” (“To Be Continued”).
• Filmmakers group: A.A. Barykin, O.G. Surov, E.I. Kashinsky, D.V. Emelyanov – for a series of documentaries on the Special Military Operation: “Providers”, “Voices from the Cradle”, “The Road”, “Kazan – Lysychansk”.
• Yuri Konstantinovich Gvozd – for creating a gallery of cinematic images of outstanding figures in Tatar literature and art (I. Shakirov, S. Khakim, Kh. Yakupov, Kh. Bigichev, Kh. Tufan, R. Sharafiev, etc.).
• Elmir Zhavdetovich Nizamov – for the opera “Kara Pulat”.
• Shamil Sabirovich Akhmetzyanov – for a cycle of Tatar folk songs included in the album “Sornay Moñı”.
• Nail Ulfatovich Maganov – Chairman of the Tatneft Foundation, CEO of PJSC Tatneft, leader of the creative group, together with P.D. Korchagin, E.Z. Chavlinov, S.Yu. Verteletsky – for the project on the recreation of Turkic musical instruments.
• Rabis Magalimovich Salyakhov – for a series of works inspired by Tatar folk songs.
• Rifkat Mukhamedovich Vakhitov – for his significant contribution to the development of visual arts in the Republic of Tatarstan with the series “History and Personality” (1998–2019).
• Vladimir Yakovlevich Akimov – for the exhibitions “My Chuvash Enduraykino” and “And Again About the Eternal…”.
