On December 25, Vasil Shaykhraziev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of the Tatars, met with journalists. During the event, the results of the year’s activities were summarized, and journalists’ questions were addressed.

– Dear colleagues, we sincerely thank you for participating in today’s final meeting. We have gathered to review the work of the World Congress of the Tatars in 2024, discuss current issues, and outline plans for the future. We are always open to your suggestions and new ideas, as only by working together can we achieve great results, – said Vasil Shaykhraziev in his address to the journalists.

Vasil Shaykhraziev also highlighted that all the planned events for 2024 were successfully carried out. The Chairman of the National Council then provided more details about some of the events, emphasizing their importance in strengthening Tatar culture and identity.

Furthermore, Vasil Shaykhraziev announced that 2025 has been declared by the World Congress of the Tatars as the “Year of the 80th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and Peace”.

“May 2025 bring us victory,” he said, calling for everyone to unite around this significant milestone.

During the meeting, the Chairman of the National Council presented letters of appreciation to media representatives who had actively covered the Congress’s activities throughout the year. He emphasized the crucial role of journalists in promoting Tatar culture, history, and traditions, noting that their work plays a vital role in preserving and developing national heritage.
