The event “National coloring ” organized by the Ministry of the Chechen Republic for National Policy, External Relations, Press and Information at the village Shelkovskaya.

The action was attended by Aide to Minister of the agency Oleg Petukhov, mayor of Shelkovskoi region Akhyad Machiev, and representatives of the Tatar national cultural center.

It should be noted that the action took place in the framework of the project “The Chechen Republic, House of Friendship”.

Cultural program opened a documentary that tells the history of the settlement of the Tatar people in Chechnya. After that, the participants held an exhibition entitled “To the sources of Tatar culture” where national dishes, household items, costumes and fiction were presented.

The greatest impression on the audience made a folklore- ethnographic group “Yulduz” (star), who sang the national Tatar songs.

Oleg Petukhov said that the purpose of the action “National coloring” – is strengthening the friendship between the peoples living in Chechnya.

– With the help of these activities, we try to familiarize the younger generation with the culture of the peoples, who live on the territory of the Chechen Republic. National cultural centers hold exhibitions and concerts, shows films about the traditions and customs of his people. All this educates respect among the youth for other nationalities because the culture of each nation is beautiful in its own way, – he said.

Akhyad Machiev in turn added that Shelkovsky regions never had conflicts on ethnic grounds, and such event is an opportunity to once again come together and enrich the cultural and spiritual values of the fraternal peoples.

At the end of the event, Oleg Petukhov handed gifts and letters of thanks on behalf of the Minister of the Chechen Republic for National Policy, External Relations , Press and Information Shaida Zhamaldaeva to deputy head of administration of Shelkovskiy Region Director Denis Dupenko and Tatar national cultural center Albina Bektimirova.
