In Laishevo, school-age boys who attended a five-day course organized by the “Iman” Cultural and Educational Center of the Republic of Tatarstan in cooperation with the “Zaynab” Mosque of the Laishevo Muhtasibat were awarded for their participation.
According to Niyaz Hazrat Sabirov, chairman of the “Iman” center and imam-khatib of the Apanaev Mosque, the courses welcomed boys from both the Laishevo district and Kazan.
“The purpose of this program was to introduce children to the basics of Islam and the spiritual culture of the Tatar people,” explained Niyaz Rustemovich. “The boys had a rich and meaningful schedule. In the mornings, they studied Islamic fundamentals, and in the afternoons, cultural activities were organized for them.”
The teenagers visited the G. R. Derzhavin Museum of Local History in Laishevo and went on various excursions.
The children were guided by experienced teachers who had graduated from the “Muhammadiya” madrasa. All instructors held both secular and religious education backgrounds.
“These courses are especially relevant today because in the age of globalization, children are heavily influenced by the internet. We need to show them spiritual values so they stay on the right path,” emphasized Niyaz Rustemovich.
Before receiving their certificates and awards, the boys presented what they had learned over the five days. They performed several short plays on spiritual life and choosing the true path. Despite a bit of nervousness, the teenagers proudly demonstrated their knowledge to teachers and parents.
All those involved in the children’s education were recognized with awards from the “Iman” Cultural and Educational Center. The evening concluded with a celebratory dinner.
