Commemorative open lesson honoring Hero of the Soviet Union Musa Jalil

On February 16, 2025, the Tatar Cultural Center of the Rostov Region hosted an open lesson dedicated to the birthday of the legendary poet and Hero of the Soviet Union, Musa Jalil.

The event brought together students of the “Tatar Tele” course, guests, and teachers to pay tribute to the hero and his comrades, who gave their lives in August 1944.

The program was divided into two parts. In the first, students presented lectures on the life and heroic deeds of Musa Jalil, as well as the tragic fate of his fellow fighters executed by the Nazis. The second part featured recitations of Jalil’s poetry and works by other frontline poets, performed by students in their native Tatar language.

Guests appreciated the event’s significance in fostering patriotism among the younger generation, emphasizing the importance of remembering the heroes of war. Special gratitude was expressed to the teachers of Tatar language and literature courses for their dedication to preserving cultural heritage.

The gathering concluded with a moving performance of the Tatar national anthem, “Tugan Tel,” featuring verses by the renowned poet Gabdulla Tukay. The event served not only as a tribute to a great poet but also as a living bridge between generations, strengthening the connection to history and the native language.
