Congratulation by Vasil Shaikhraziev on the occasion of beginning of the month of Ramadan

Dear Muslims, dear co-religionists – brothers and sisters!
On behalf of the National Council of the World Congress of Tatars and on my own behalf, I sincerely congratulate you all on coming of the holy month of Ramadan.
Islam played one of the most important roles in the preservation of the Tatar people. Each of our fellow tribesmen, who considered himself a Muslim, performed the five pillars of Islam: the testimony of Monotheism, namaz, uraza, hajj, zakat, and thereby hardened his faith, praised Allah. For Muslims, Ramadan is one of the long-awaited and most valuable, because in this month, our co-religionists, from sunrise to sunset, refuse to eat, from inappropriate insults to their neighbor and other prohibited acts. Holding fast strengthens the faith of man, alienates him from selfish ends, purifies his soul, because Ramadan is a month of forgiveness and huge rewards.
Dear Muslims, may the Most High in His mercy accept our fasting days, may our good deeds be truly rewarded in this holy month.
