Danis Shakirov, First Deputy Chairman of the National Council — Head of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of the Tatars and Deputy of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, paid a working visit to the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug.

The Head of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of the Tatars, Danis Fanisovich Shakirov, was greeted by Bulat Badretdinov, Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug.

Danis Shakirov held a meeting with Kirill Kharitonov, Director of the Department of Internal Policy of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Ugra. During the meeting, the organization of the Sabantuy festival in Surgut was discussed.

The Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug is a region with a compact settlement of Tatars; 114,000 Tatars live here. The active engagement of the Tatar community was noted. Danis Fanisovich emphasized the need to establish a Tatar organization in the region. He stated that to protect the interests of our compatriots in Ugra, it is necessary to elect a worthy and active leader.
