On December 6, Danis Shakirov — Deputy of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, First Deputy Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of the Tatars, and Head of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of the Tatars — paid a working visit to Mordovia.
During the visit, Danis Fanisovich laid flowers at the memorial stele dedicated to the participants of the Great Patriotic War in the village of Belozerye. Together with public representatives, veterans, and young people, he honored the memory of the fallen heroes who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of our Motherland.
The opening of the “Hero’s Wall,” commemorating the feat of Hero of the Russian Federation and honored pilot Damir Yusupov, also took place. The ceremony was attended by Danis Shakirov, Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of Tatars, and Damir Yusupov, Hero of Russia, Russian civil aviation pilot, and aircraft commander of Ural Airlines.
The Hero’s Wall is intended to become a symbol of pride for our compatriots — a reminder that true heroes live among us, and their actions inspire faith in a better future.
Damir Yusupov was awarded the title of Hero of Russia for his courage and professionalism during an emergency landing in August 2019, which saved the lives of 226 people. His actions became a vivid example of selflessness and exceptional responsibility.
