On December 18, Danis Shakirov, First Deputy Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of the Tatars and Head of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of the Tatars, paid a working visit to the city of Dubai (United Arab Emirates).

A meeting was held in Dubai with the participation of members of the World Congress of the Tatars’ representative office and representatives of the Tatar community. During the meeting, the results of activities for 2025 were summarized, and the main objectives and priorities for 2026 were outlined. In his address, Danis Shakirov announced that the coming year in the Republic of Tatarstan has been declared the “Year of Tukay” and informed the participants about the planned events dedicated to this significant occasion.

As part of the working visit, Danis Fanisovich also presented a letter of appreciation from the World Congress of Tatars, signed by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of Tatars, Vasil Shaykhraziev, as well as commemorative gifts to Alfie Badretdinova, the former head of the Alliance of Arab Tatars.

In addition, the mandate of the World Congress of Tatars’ representative in Dubai, Kamil Galiullin, was extended. He was presented with an official certificate and a lapel badge of the World Congress of Tatars. The certificate and lapel badge were also presented to Marsel Akhmetshin, who was unanimously elected at an expanded meeting of the Alliance of Arab Tatars held on November 7 in Cairo (Egypt). The awards were presented on behalf of the Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of Tatars, Vasil Shaykhraziev.

The meeting was attended by Timur Khayretdinov, Trade and Economic Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in Dubai; Fakhrutdin Kanyukaev, member of the National Council of the World Congress of Tatars and President of the Samara Regional Creative and Public Association “Duslyk”; as well as members of the World Congress of Tatars’ representative office in Dubai. The meeting was held in a constructive and businesslike atmosphere.
