The results of the activities of local history structures of Tatarstan for 2023 and their plans for 2024 were discussed. The event was attended by scientists, local historians, journalists and public figures, activists of local history structures.

The participants of the round table were greeted by Danis Shakirov, Head of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of the Tatars.

“When we created the society of local historians, we set ourselves the goal of turning it into a whole national movement. Today, it has risen to the level of an institution capable of conveying to the general public not only Tatar history, but also national problems,” he said.

During the event, the Rector of the Institute for the Culture of Peace (UNESCO), Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Engel Tagirov, awarded the new status of academician of the Europe-Asia International Humanitarian Academy to Danis Shakirov.
