October 19-20, the Days of Tatar Enlightenment were held in the Penza region. The delegation of Tatarstan was headed by Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan Minzaliya Zakirova and Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of the Tatars Ilgiz Khalikov.

The opening of the Days took place on October 19 at school No. 2 in Srednyaya Yeluzan village. The event began with a small concert program. Master classes and excursions were held for guests and participants.

Minister of Education of the Penza Region Alexei Komarov and Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan Minzalia Zakirova addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. The heads of departments encouraged the best teachers of the Penza region with Letters of Appreciation. Furthermore, Tatarstan guests donated books in the Tatar language to the schools of the Penza region.
