Developers of the Strategy of the Tatar people want to give it immortality

The Third Round Table on  Development Strategy for the Tatar People was held at the House of Peoples’ Friendship in Kazan. The discussion brought together representatives of ministries, the Religious  Board  of Muslims of the Republic of Tatarstan, social activists, historians and journalists. The meeting was moderated by  Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan and  chairman of the National Council of Milli Schura, Vasil Shaikhraziev.

He said that today, despite the third meeting already, the draft Strategy, which could be presented, has not yet appeared. According to Vasil Shaikhraziyev, several working groups are busy creating the document. They already require meetings, reports and discussions.  Deputy Prime Minister recalled the main points that should be taken into account in the Strategy.

– The development strategy will unite the Tatar people, you know the Tatar language or you do not know, whether you can read or you can not. The main thing is that we could  say that you are a Tatar with body and soul. Yes, in your life it turned out that you don’t know your language well or you don’t know it at all. But we in no way exclude you from our nationality, ”said Vasil Shaikhraziev.

Another point on which  deputy prime minister emphasized was that the document should not pay attention to religious beliefs. The strategy is aimed at uniting the Tatars with other peoples of Russia, and not separating from them.

The compilers want to prescribe three stages of development of the Tatar people: short-term until the end of 2020, medium-term – until 2030 and long-term – until 2050.

– We do not have any groups among the Tatars who oppose each other. When creating somewhere, even very important is to step over my “I can’t” in the name of the immortality of the Tatar people, – said Vasil Shaikhraziev.
