Director of the museum: Friendship between Nariman Narimanov and Gabdulla Tukay is a source of our pride

The event entitled “Friendship between Nariman Narimanov and Gabdulla Tukai – a source of pride of fraternal peoples” took place at the Nariman Narimanov Memorial Museum. The event was attended by Azad Guseynov, head of the museum work and cultural wealth section of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, representatives of the Tatarstan public association and the “Aida to Baku” social project, employees of the Russian Cultural Information Center, artists of the Gunay Children’s Theater Studio and other guests .

The event was opened by e director of the museum, Kamilya Guseynova. She welcomed the participants and noted that the history of friendship and brotherhood of the Azerbaijani and Tatar peoples is rich in interesting facts. Thus, the valuable heritage of N. Narimanov, in his letters and articles reflected the love and respect for the Tatar people and progressive representatives of their intelligentsia. Therefore, it is no coincidence that each of the frequent meetings between  representatives of the Tatar public in this museum is emphasized as a holiday.
