Today in the village of Kamyshla celebrate a large national holiday – X All-Russian Rural Sabantuy. More than 20 thousand spectators has come here.
On the day of Sabantui, on the square in front of the local house of culture, a bust has been unveiled to Tatar poet, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, a resident of the village of Kamyshla, Enver Davydov. His poems are known and taught in rural schools, and there are poems in every Tatar house.
At the festival the poet was honored not by chance. On June 22, 1941, the villagers also came to Sabantui. As Kamyshlintsers say, in the early morning on carts and on foot, whole families, well-dressed villagers walked to a place of celebration in a forest glade. Everywhere folk songs sounded. But a few minutes after, the German fascist invaders were attacking our country and the speech by USSR Commissar for Foreign Affairs Vyacheslav Molotov, the Maidan became empty. Many of those who were going to participate in festive competitions and perform on stage, went to the front and died in the battles for the Motherland. The young inhabitant of the village of Kamyshla, Enver Davydov, returned from the front and became the poet of his people.
This year, a famous bust was erected on the square in front of the Palace of Culture in honor of his century in honor of his fellow villager. The sculpture was solemnly opened by Governor of the Samara region Dmitry Azarov and President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
“I am very glad that today we are here on this remarkable day, when the All-Russian Village Sabantuy is being held on Kamyshlinsky land, we welcome hospitably dear guests from different regions of our great Motherland and pay a duty of memory and gratitude to Enver Davydov, a wonderful person from Kamyshlinsky district . With his work he glorified the Kamyshlinsky land, contributed to the development of the culture of the Tatar people, and, therefore, the whole of Russia. He was a hard worker and a warrior, a true patriot of his small homeland and all of Russia, ”said Dmitry Azarov.
Governor thanked the villagers for their careful attitude to the culture, traditions, and memory of the great countrymen. In turn, Rustam Minnikhanov thanked the head of the region for his attention to the Tatar people living in the Samara region.
