The opening of the Days of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan in Moscow took place on 21 August. As part of this large-scale event, the Days of Tatarstan Cinema are held as a separate block. This year, animation and films are shown at three venues at once: at the Central House of Cinematographers, at the Poklonka cinema, and a children’s program at the Russian Children’s Library.
Director of Tatarkino GBUK RT and producer of films Milyausha Aytuganova, Deputy Mufti of the Republic of Tatarstan for information policy Rishat Khamidullin, directors Ainaz Mukhametzyanov, Ilshat Rakhimbay, Amir Galiaskarov and Yulia Zakharova, actor Ilfat Kamaleev and chief director of the Tatrmultfilm association came from the cinematographers of the republic to Muscovites Sergei Kiatrov.
The Days of Tatarstan Cinema were solemnly opened on Sunday at the Central House of Cinematographers with the participation of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in Moscow and the Moscow Region Ravil Akhmetshin and director of the House of Cinema Ekaterina Golovnya. With a full house, the premiere screening of the documentary film “Ibn Fadlan” was held. The director Ainaz Mukhametzyanov introduced it to the audience. It was a long-awaited event for the Muslims of Moscow, and not only the Tatars. It was specially created for the 1100th anniversary of the adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgaria. The film was enthusiastically received by the audience. The director was asked many questions and expressed gratitude for his work on the Islamic historical theme.
By the way, the film “Ibn Fadlan” will open the XVIII Kazan International Muslim Film Festival, which will be held in Kazan from September 7 to 11.
On the same day, a presentation of a very “hot” film product, the feature film “Mikulai”, took place. This high-profile premiere was presented by director Ilshat Rakhimbay. Starring Viktor Sukhorukov, Ivan Dobronravov and Varvara Shmykova. The film will become a participant in the competition program of the Moscow International Film Festival in the Russian Premieres nomination.
On August 22, the House of Cinema became a platform for the presentation of the premiere cartoon “Kyndykan”, created jointly with Yakut animators. Of great interest was the cartoon “Revizsky tales. Archival business. An exciting story about time travel with heroic little heroes watched with bated breath by both adults and children.
Director Sergei Kiatrov talked to the audience and said that the cartoon is a continuation of the animated film Heritage Arrow (2 parts), which glorifies Kazan sights. And now a sequel is being prepared with the title “Wanted Addressees”, in which young heroes fall into the 41st year and learn the story of how the Great Kazan bypass was built – the defensive line, which was located in a semicircle around Kazan, passed through the territory of the Chuvash and Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republics .
Later, the children’s film “Insaf” based on the work of R. Batulla (directed by Farid Davletshin) was broadcast on the screen.
Cinema “Poklonka” for the first time became a partner of GBUK “Tatarkino” in Moscow. Registration for screenings was closed the day before the start of the Days of Tatarstan Cinema. The audience most interested in the Tatarstan product comes to this site. Almost every session is accompanied by creative meetings with the creators. Thus, the feature films “We are children of 41”, “Sumbul” and “Mulla” were discussed with Amir Galiaskarov, the film “Khalima”, which will be shown on August 23, will be presented by Yulia Zakharova. The film “Isenmesez” (Are You Alive?) directed by I. Yagafarov, which aroused particular interest, judging by the pre-registration for the session, will be the final one on the same day.
On August 24, Tatarkino will present a children’s program and a creative meeting with Sergey Kiatrov at the Russian State Children’s Library.
