During a meeting with journalists from Tatarstan, Vasil Shaykhraziev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of the Tatars, spoke about recent meetings held in the federal districts. In January and February of this year, the Chairman of the National Council met with leaders and activists of Tatar public organizations in the federal districts of the Russian Federation. Since 2018, annual meetings have been held in all eight federal districts.
“This year, these meetings were organized from Kamchatka to Kaliningrad. The events included a review of the World Congress of the Tatars Executive Committee’s work over the past year, as well as an introduction to the work plan and goals for the upcoming year. We receive tremendous support from regional leaders. Tatar organizations in the regions are always at the forefront. The reports at the meetings are presented by the representatives of the organizations themselves. Some local leaders have said that after seeing the reports from the Tatar organizations, they are filled with admiration. They note that neither ministers nor regional heads speak so proudly of their achievements. This reflects the high level of professionalism and perseverance of Tatar organizations in accomplishing their goals,” said Vasil Shaykhraziev.
Vasil Shaykhraziev also mentioned that the meetings with leaders and activists of Tatar public organizations in the Russian Federation will begin in 2025 in Ufa, the Republic of Bashkortostan.
