Exactly one month remains before the beginning of the X All-Russian Rural Sabantui

June 29 in the village of Kamyshla of the Samara region will be the anniversary of the tenth All-Russian rural Sabantuy – an ancient and ever-young Tatar holiday, according to the department of information policy of the administration of the governor of the Samara region.

Originating in the depth of ages, this truly national holiday always was and remains long-awaited and joyful event. It marks the awakening of the land, glorifies the work of the tiller, demonstrates the rich distinctive culture, hospitality and hospitality of the Tatar people. From time immemorial, this holiday contributed to the friendly communication of people of different nationalities, gave people hope for the future and gave joy. And today Sabantuy personifies the ideals of peace and good, is a symbol of the community of the peoples of our land.

The Samara region was elected to hold the tenth anniversary of the All-Russian Rural Sabantui not by chance: in our region, the Tatars are the second largest ethnic group, as in the Russian Federation as a whole, and play a prominent role in the life of the region. In 2010, the first All-Russian Rural Sabantuy was held in the territory of our province, in the village of Alkino, Pokhvistnevsky District. Then, about 18 thousand people from 23 regions of Russia took part in a large-scale event. Then the All-Russian Rural Sabantuy was held in the Republic of Chuvashia, Chelyabinsk, Perm, Volgograd, Orenburg, Ulyanovsk, Penza and Kurgan regions.

The success of the events held in the Samara region prompted the World Tatar Congress to appeal to the governor with a proposal to hold the anniversary All-Russian Rural Sabantuy on the territory of the Samara Region. The head of the region, Dmitry Azarov, decided to hold the X All-Russian Rural Sabantuy in the Kamyshlinsky District, whose residents have always been very fond of this holiday. From generation to generation, the Kamyshla people keep up the traditions of this Tatar national holiday and pass them on to their descendants.
