August 5, Kazan, Chairman of Tatarstan State Council Farid Mukhametshin has opened the VII World Forum of Tatar youth.
In his speech on behalf of the Tatarstan President, Parliament and Government of the Republic Farid Mukhametshin marked the role of the forum in the preservation of the national language, culture and traditions of the Tatar people. “According to many authoritative politicians, public and religious figures, Tatars by their hard work and friendly attitude towards other peoples, have gained reputation and trust across Russia”, – he stressed.
Chairman of the State Council delivered a message from the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, in which, in particular, it is noted that such events bring together young people, familiarize with the
republic. The President expressed hope that the forum will give participants a new experience and promote the birth of new ideas.
Farid Mukhametshin stressed – Tatarstan is becoming recognized around the world, and it happens through the efforts of the republican administration and its leader Rustam Minnikhanov, and thanks to compatriots, who represent the republic in Russia and abroad.
Chairman of RT State Council listed a bright sporting and cultural events that took place in Kazan in recent years, also recalled that in the near future, the regional capital will host no less important event – the World Cup games in football in 2018 and the championship for trades of the world WorldSkills in 2019.
The head of parliament gave a warm greeting to participants of the forum from State Counselor of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev, who expressed a wish for guests of the republic to visit the Great Bolgar and village Kyrlay of the Arsk region, where the great Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukai grew up.
Later, in the conversation with the journalists Farid Mukhametshin wished young Tatars not to lose friendly contacts, maintain dialogue, but the main thing – to preserve national traditions in their families, passing
knowledge of their native language and cultural traditions to future generations.
Events of the Forum are taking place in Kazan from August 4 to 7. On the opening day, at the “Korston” “Avenue Project” of Tatar youth organizations has unfolded , and in the Universiade Village meetings were held in sections of the project format “Akylfabrikasy”. In the evening, the planned literary-musical evening featuring Alina Sharibzyanova, Elmira Nizamova is planned.
“Akylfabrikasy” the project that includes five areas, among which “Gistory and tourism”, “Education and training”, “Management of ethnocultural projects», «Tatweb 2.0», «PR and journalism.”
The forum is attended by over 900 representatives of the Tatar youth of 30 CIS and non-CIS countries, 60 regions of the Russian Federation and the regions of the republic. The forum discusses the problems of development of the Tatar nation, preservation of traditions, customs and the role of youth in the preservation of the Tatar national identity.
World Forum of Tatar Youth was established in 2004, under the statute it is held once in two years.
