Young performers of Bashkir and Tatar songs a awaited in the fifth festival-competition “Idel”. It will be held at the Concert Hall “Bashkortostan” on October 16-17.

The song contest is open to professional artists, having a special vocal education, students of vocal departments of colleges and universities, vocal and vocal-instrumental ensemble. Age contestants – up to 35 years. The repertoire of the young singers must be at the Bashkir and Tatar folk lingering song (ozone kui) and pop works by contemporary composers.

The jury will be headed by its permanent chairman, People’s Artist of Russia and Tatarstan Renat Ibragimov.

In previous years, the competition was attended by talented performers not only from Bashkortostan and Tatarstan, but also from other regions of Russia and foreign countries. In honor of the fifth anniversary of the festival it will be attended by the winners of previous years: Radik Yulyakshin, Marcel Vagizov, Nurziya Sabitova, guests from Turkey, China, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. The program includes performances by famous artists: Renat Ibragimov, Venera Ganieva, Flur Kildiyarova, Rosa Habibullina, Farida Timerbaeva, the ensemble of dances of the peoples of the world “Kazan”.

October 16 – day of the competition, beginning at 19.00 ; October 17, at 18.00, a gala concert.
