Festival of Harmonists “Play, Accordion!” (“Uyna, harmun”) was held in the Tatar Cultural Center of Moscow. The author of this project is Rushan Lyukmanov, the head of the TCC accordion studio performing Tatar folk songs. With the support of the art director of the festival, Rafek Valitov, he invited all his fellow musicians who preserve authentic culture to this festival of national music.

For four hours, live music sounded under the arches of the Great Hall of the TCC. The festival demonstrated that folk melodies are one of the traditional “cultural codes” of the Tatars, and the accordion is the “key” to it.
