Today, the Xth All-Russian Rural Sabantui is celebrated in the village.

A festive morning for guests and all residents of the Kamyshlinsky district, who always accepted Sabantuy with great love and handed down the traditions of the national holiday from generation to generation, began with a long-awaited and momentous event – the opening of the bust to the Tatar poet and participant of the Great Patriotic War Enver Davydov in honor of 100 anniversary of his birth.

The epicenter of folk festivals was Sabantui Square, located at the entrance to Kamyshlu. More than 20 thousand spectators from 24 regions of the Russian Federation gathered there. Governor of the Samara region Dmitry Azarov and  President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the opening ceremony of the holiday.

“It is a great honor for us to host the X All-Russian Rural Sabantuy today. And the fact that the holiday rolled merrily is largely due to you, your mood and the desire to celebrate this day together. This is a holiday that has its roots deep in the history of our country and our peoples, ”said Dmitry Azarov in his welcoming speech. – I hope you enjoy it with us. On the Samara land we are able to receive guests cheerfully, kindly, hospitably. ”

Head of the region recalled that Samara has been celebrating Sabantuy for more than 30 years as a citywide holiday. And once the first All-Russian rural Sabantuy also passed on the territory of the province. “For us, the big goal is to host the anniversary, the tenth festival. Today we are united by one dream – the development of the well-being of our country and the people who live in Russia. And together, I am sure, we will cope with any task. ”

President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov noted  high organization of the anniversary Sabantuy. “You organized a wonderful holiday. We travel a lot – we have federal and rural Sabantui, but the organization and preparation of the festival is at the highest level here, ”he said.

After welcoming words, Dmitry Azarov and Rustam Minnikhanov presented awards for significant contribution to strengthening the unity of the Russian nation, harmonizing interethnic relations, and strengthening peace and friendship among the peoples living in the Samara region. In addition, the car “Lada Niva” was donated to the village of Kamyshla.
