The lecture by the historian Alexander Cheremin was held in the library of the Tatar Cultural Center in Moscow. This time, history buffs heard a story about Tatar folk musical instruments and their alleged origin.
According to Alexander Cheremin, musical instruments are part of material culture and reflect its level. At the same time, they serve as “guides” to the world of spiritual culture. The presence of peculiar and technically complicated tools proves that the Turkic civilization had its own special features and reached a high degree of development.
