Ildar Gilmutdinov: “We very much hope that after March the Ministry for National Policy Affairs will be created”

The creation in Russia of the Ministry of National Policy would help solve a number of urgent problems. This was announced today by State Duma deputy Ildar Gilmutdinov at an expanded meeting of the public council under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, where they discussed the implementation of the republican programs for the implementation of the national policy in Tatarstan and the preservation of the national identity of the Tatar people. The deputy expressed hope that after March the ministry will be established.
Gilmutdinov also talked about the supposed work on preserving the languages: “On March 29 we are reviewing the national policy strategy, on April 12 we will discuss the issue related to the preservation and development of our native languages, we have a serious proposal. We need to look for ways to motivate learning. The status of the state languages should be appropriate, we are working on it, I am sure that we will find a worthy decision in terms of state languages. ” How specifically the issue will be resolved, the chairman of the Committee on Nationalities Affairs of the State Duma did not specify.
