The Governor of the Ulyanovsk region, Sergey Morozov, gave a corresponding assignment while visiting the school.

 

“In 2004, we opened the school № 22 named Gabdulla Tukai. During this time, the educational institution has made a great leap forward not only in training the children, but also in preserving the traditions of the Tatar people. After attending the school, it was decided that the city’s administration  would undertake to repair the roof, and the regional government should develop the documentation needed to replace the windows and repair the facades. This educational institution should become one of the most beautiful in Dimitrovgrad, “- said  the  Governor Sergei Morozov.

 

According to the information of specialized specialists, pupils of school №22 with the Tatar ethno-cultural component take part annually and become prizewinners of the All-Russian and International Olympiads on the Tatar language and literature.

 

In 2011, the opening of the bust of Gabdulla Tukai   took place. In 2016,  the  school  № 22 was given the name of the Tatar poet, a museum was opened – the center of spiritual education. The museum conducts local history lessons, as well as excursions for the residents of the nearest villages.

 

On this day,   the Governor Sergei Morozov visited the Tatar language and culture festival dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the birth of the poet, artist Gakil Sagirov. The head of the region stressed that necessary conditions are created in the Ulyanovsk region to maintain good-neighborly relations between different peoples. As Sergei Morozov    marked  the learning  of the Tatar language and culture is being held in  159 educational institutions in the Ulyanovsk region.

 

According to the information of the relevant department, at present more than 10 thousand Ulyanovsk children from 243 schools receive an ethno-cultural education.

 

“In 48 institutions, the native language is studied as a subject, in others the teaching goes through facultative and circle classes. Every year schoolchildren become winners and prize-winners of the inter-regional and international competitions. For broadcasting  advanced pedagogical experience in the Ulyanovsk region, the Association of Teachers of the Native Language is working on instruction  of the head of the region Sergey Morozov. It includes more than 150 talented teachers. In addition, in order to improve the professional skills of teachers for five years, we hold the contest “The best cabinet of the native language”, – said the Minister of Education and Science of the Ulyanovsk region Natalya Semyonova.
