In Moscow, a citywide holiday Navruz to   be  celebrated

March 25 at VDNH in Pavilion № 75  the annual Moscow city holiday “Navruz-2018” will be celebrated.

 

According to the already established tradition, delegations from CIS countries, foreign countries and subjects of the Russian Federation, as well as representatives of national public organizations of the city of Moscow, will take part in the Moscow Holiday.

 

Tatarstan annually takes an active part in the citywide event. This year in a concert program of the holiday the republic will be presented by Deserved  Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Marcel Vagizov and the  folk dance ensemble “Saidash”.

 

On the “national courtyards” platform the masters of folk art crafts of the Republic of Tatarstan will present guests with silver jewelry, national embroidered leather shoes and clothes, dishes, towels and tablecloths, various souvenirs. Also at the celebration, anyone can taste Tatar dishes and pastries cooked by the restaurant “Kazan Tea Bar”.

 

Participants and guests of the event will be offered a diverse program. One of the pleasant surprises prepared by the organizers this year will be a demonstration of national costumes.

 

The festival of pilaf will take place in the form of a contest for  preparation of the best dish. It will be attended by true chefs of national cuisine restaurants. The jury will include not only culinary specialists, but also representatives of national diasporas, food bloggers.

 

For young guests Navruz will hold master classes to create souvenirs, national dolls and much more.

 

On the main stage of the festival will perform creative vocal and dance groups representing the art of different peoples.

 

The event is organized by the Department of National Policy and Interregional Relations of Moscow with the support of the embassies of the countries of the near and far abroad, representations of the subjects of the Russian Federation and national public organizations.

 

The program of the holiday Navruz-2018:

 

13: 00-20: 00 – the work of the exhibition-fair of national art, crafts and traditions;

 

14:00 – official opening of the holiday;

 

14: 00- 15:30 – gala concert with participation of pop stars;

 

16: 00-20: 00 – the continuation of the gala concert with the participation of professional and amateur national creative teams.
