Every year under the programs of youth and academic exchange on scientific training, conferences, seminars, studies, etc. millions of people go to various countries of the world. So the guys from Ida-Viru County used this opportunity and organized international youth exchange on the theme “Healthy Living as a personal brand in a labor career.”
Svetlana Mukhametzyanova, the Society of Tatar culture in Ida-Viru County, project manager:
The theme was not chosen by chance – it was in adolescence when young men choose their own path in life.
The camp, which was held in July 2015 in a picturesque Otepaa, also peers from Germany, Latvia and Portugal at the age of 15-19 were invited. Project initiator of exchange acted the Society of Tatar culture in Ida-Viru
County, which has a good experience in international projects.
An important role in the project was devoted to intercultural dialogue. Each delegation prepared a presentation, explaining its organization, city, country. During the exchange, participants visited historical and cultural sites of Otepaa and Tartu. Within ten days, the guys discussed priorities in choosing a profession, with examples from the life of learning to create a personal brand. Also, as part of the project participants held a sports day in adventure park and complemented their knowledge in a scientific center of AKHAA.
Action plan guys discussed in “Facebook” and “Vkontakte” long before the start of the project, but it went not without curiosities. The sauna caused confusion among the participants from Portugal. In this hot country there is no need to bask in the bath, so the Portuguese, seeing how the other participants with a cheerful cry run out of steam and plunge into the lake, thought it an extreme sport, it is very dangerous to life. We also noticed that the Portuguese do not like dishes from potatoes and pork, choose fish and vegetables. But as in our residence had the opportunity to cook a meal, the participants ‘treated ‘ each other cuisine: pasta
Portuguese, Latvian and Estonian sweets, German snacks.
Here are some reviews by project participants:
“We have everything here, it is very great. In the morning we have training, it is very useful and not boring. In the evening we play, socialize and drink tea together. I am very glad that I came “- Pauline (Estonia).
“I like not only to work all together, to play sports and participate in training, but also the fact that people came from a completely different and unique cultures” – Philippe (Latvia).
“We all: Estonians, Latvians, Germans and Portuguese live like a big happy family. And what is the lake! When managed to swim by boat, I could watch the whole beauty of the area! “- Marianne (Portugal).
The project came to an end, but the friendship of the project participants from different countries has only just begun. On this Site http://etnoweb.ee
