In St. Petersburg, a master class on painting T-shirts with Tatar ornament

On October 20, in the educational and cultural center of the Kayum Nasyri Institute at the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Tatarstan in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, as part of the TatArt project, a master class on painting T-shirts with Tatar ornaments was held.
TatArt project involves the study of the features of the Tatar national art, Tatar ornament and its introduction into modern everyday life. This project is planned to be carried out once a month.
At the beginning of the master class, the participants were acquainted with the presentation, which described the types of Tatar ornament, its placement options on garments and home textiles earlier, the ways of embroidery and printing, as well as the authentic range and color options.
Then, inspired by the participants, they began to paint the T-shirts with a pattern, each put her heart and energy into creating a unique T-shirt in individual colors, discussing new ideas for personalizations, communicating, helping and telling each other the best bright colors.
At the end of the master class, the girls agreed that the introduction of Tatar ornament into the wardrobe of a modern Tatar is the current trend of ethnic fashion, originally emphasizes national identity, and also popularizes such an important element of Tatar culture as an ornament in a multinational society.
