On March 17, 2019 in Rostov-on-Don, at the “CINEMA HOUSE” a free screening of the film “Su Anasy” was held for the Tatars of the city of Rostov-on-Don.
The film “Su Anasy” is a family movie in the fantasy genre, based on the works by Kayum Nasyri and Gabdulla Tukai. Kayum Nasyri is a famous Tatar thinker and ethnographer of the 19th century. He traveled to the villages of the Volga region and wrote down folk tales; it was he who for the first time described in detail such heroes of Tatar folklore as Div, Shurale and Su Anasy.
Although the filmmakers moved the action in our time, the story is based on the stories from 19th century ethnographic essays.
In addition, “Su Anasy” – the first national film, which is widely used complex makeup, special effects, tricks and computer graphics.
The organizers of the free screening of the film “Su Anasy” were the activists of the Tatar-Bashkir Cultural Center “YAKTASHLAR” (ZEMLYAKI) Ravil and Nadiya Kurmakaevs.
