Open International Festival-competition of national folk instruments “Uynagyz, garmunnar!” will be held in avillage Arakaevo of the Sverdlovsk oblast.

The festival-competition is open to instrumental ensembles and individual performers (boyanists, gamonists, kurai , kubyz players etc.) without age limit and number of participants.

The program must present two national works by choice of the participant.

According to the organizers, the applications do not come only from the Sverdlovsk region, but also from neighboring regions – the Chelyabinsk oblast, the Perm oblast and the Republic of Bashkortostan.

Festival participants will be assessed by a competent jury, which includes prominent figures of culture and

art of the Sverdlovsk oblast and the Republic of Tatarstan. The main criteria for assessment are high performance skills; the preservation of national color and traditions.

Applications are accepted until October 20, 2015. The festival takes place October 24.
