July 19, in Tyumen, at the Center of Tatar Culture in Tyumen, the festival of munajat will be held for the first time. The main organizer of the event is the Congress of Tatars of the Tyumen region

Munajat – the ancient genre of music and poetry of the Tatars. The artists in it are turning to God with requests and praise. Munajats are national and spiritual heritage, a tradition of performance Munajat – part of the culture of the Tatar people. That is why the Congress of Tatars of the Tyumen region initiated the Festival of Munajat. Its goal – to popularize the Muslim traditions among the population of the Tyumen region.

Objectives of the event:

– Preservation, revival and further development of national creativity of the Tatar population of the region;

– Attracting public attention to the problems of preservation of folklore;

– An introduction of the Muslim culture to population;

– Establishing creative links with other Turkic peoples of the region.

The event will take place during the celebration of Eid al Fitr – the end of fast. In a center of Tatar culture in Tyumen region will come all the performers of Munajat: from Tyumen, Yalutorovsk, Yarkovsky, Nizhny Tavdinsky, Vagayskogo, Tobolsk region, Tyumen and Tobolsk. Participants will perform songs devoted to Allah and His Prophet, the theme of mother and child separation from their native land, etc.
