The Sabantuy is a Tatar national holiday in honor of harvesting. This holiday is under the protection of UNESCO as a masterpiece of the intangible heritage of mankind. Sabantuy enjoys the status of a federal holiday and is held in many cities of Russia and throughout the world where there are Tatar communities. This cheerful holiday is an excellent opportunity to learn a little more about the culture and traditions of the Tatars, to try the Tatar national dishes and take part in cheerful Tatar contests and competitions.
