The Institute of History named after Shigabutdin Mardzhani of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan will publish a book about the Kazan Khanate. The content and structure of the future book were discussed during a round table meeting at the Institute. It was attended by scientists from the Institute of History, the Institute of Language, Literature and Art named after Galimzhan Ibragimov, and Kazan Federal University.
“We want to take on a big project to cover Tatar history in a variety of ways. It includes the history of the Golden Horde, Tatar khanates. One of the books is dedicated to the Kazan Khanate. People are interested in history and ask us for books like this. Articles for a book about the Kazan Khanate are already being written. Within 2 years we want to complete the preparation of the publication,” said Ilnur Mirgaleev, head of the Center for the Study of the Golden Horde and Tatar Khanates of the Institute of History.
According to the speaker, this work is aimed at preserving existing knowledge on the history of the Kazan Khanate.
