On February 8, the town of Sosnovka, Kirov Region, hosted an interregional ice hockey tournament among children’s teams for the challenge cup of the World Congress of the Tatars.
The tournament took place at the Vityaz sports complex and brought together teams from Tatarstan, Kirov Region, Mari El, and Udmurtia.
According to the tournament results, the first place was secured by the Vikings team from the village of Sredniye Shuni, Kirov Region. The second place went to the Jaguar team from Udmurtia, while the third place was claimed by the Vostok team from Mari El.
The winning team received the challenge cup, a certificate of achievement, medals, and valuable prizes from the Executive Committee of the World Congress of the Tatars and the Regional Cultural and Educational Public Organization of Tatars of Kirov Region. The second- and third-place teams were also awarded certificates, medals, and gifts.
Additionally, the four best players were honored with certificates, a cup, and cash prizes.
The tournament was made possible thanks to the joint efforts of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of the Tatars, the RCEPO Tatars of Kirov Region, the administrations of Vyatskie Polyany District and Sosnovka, as well as the dedicated staff of the “Vityaz” sports complex.
A representative from the Department for the Implementation of Sports Programs, who attended the event, presented letters of appreciation to activists and sponsors in recognition of their contributions.
