Since January 23, a traveling exhibition dedicated to the life of the great Tatar poet Musa Jalil has been working in the Museum of the Kaibitsky region. This is a project of the National Museum of Tatarstan and its branch – the Musa Jalil Apartment Museum.
Documents and photographs from the collections of the National Museum of Tatarstan tell about Jalil’s childhood in the Orenburg region, his studies in Kazan and Moscow, his creative path, participation in the Great Patriotic War, Nazi captivity and execution in 1944.
You can see the poet’s front-line letter to his daughter Chulpan; documents on the assignment of the title of Hero of the Soviet Union and the Lenin Prize to Jalil posthumously. Posters and photographs reflect the triumphant path of Zhiganov’s opera “Jalil”, which was staged in Moscow – at the Bolshoi Theater, at the National Theater of Prague, at the Tatar Opera and Ballet Theater named after Musa Jalil.
The project is very important in terms of patriotic education and popularization of Tatar culture.
The exhibition will be there until February 18.
