“Kharekette – Barekat” evening dedicated to partner dances

Today, August 21, another event of the Tatar-language project “Kharekatte – Barekat” (“In Motion – There Is Prosperity”) will take place on the embankment of Lake Kaban. Guests of the evening will learn partner dances.

The program for Kazan residents will include folk acquaintance games, a Tatar dance master class, and a dance battle competition. Participants of the contests and battles will have the chance to win traditional jewelry.

Dance sessions will be led by performers Alsu Magsumzyanova, Bulat Gataullin, and Ilfak Khafizov. The atmosphere will be set by dancers Aliya Tukhbatullina and Rafael Mustyakov, while music will be provided by Aidar Abdrakhimov and Aynur Muratov.

The invited guest of the evening will be the folk dance ensemble “Yaz.”

Residents are welcome at 6:00 p.m. near the descent by the old building of the Galiaskar Kamal Theater, from the Shigabutdin Marjani Street side.

As a reminder, in honor of the anniversary of the “Kharekatte – Barekat” dance project, Kazan will host the dance tournament “Biyu Koresha.” On August 29, non-professional performers of Tatar dance will compete in it.
