“Kystyby Fest” family cooking competition held in Zainsk

On March 29, the Zainsk Polytechnic College hosted the “Kystyby Fest” family cooking competition. Sixth- and seventh-grade students from local schools showcased their culinary talents, assisted by their parents and siblings. Participants prepared the traditional Tatar dish, kystyby, using family recipes passed down through generations.

“The goal of the competition is to strengthen family bonds and preserve traditions by passing down culinary secrets. The judging criteria included workstation cleanliness and organization, dish appearance, taste, creativity in presentation, and variety,” said the event organizers, vocational training instructors Aigul Akhmetzyanova and Svetlana Ivanova.

All participants received certificates of recognition. First place was shared by Rianna and Venera Fartdinova, as well as Bulat and Aigul Akhmetzyanova. Three families tied for second place: Karina Khamitova and Vasilia Shitikova, Eva and Natalia Filatova, and Kamila and Olesya Talibullina. Third place went to Kamila and Zaglula Khasanshina, Alisa Timerkaeva and Larisa Skrabulene, Rozalina Silantieva and Galina Pushkina, and Rezeda Abzalova and Ilzira Sadrieva.
