Literary evening held in Tashkent

A literary evening dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding innovative poet, writer, publicist, and playwright, one of the founders of 20th-century Soviet poetry, Hadi Taktash, was held at the Committee for Interethnic Relations and Friendly Ties with Foreign Countries of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The evening was prepared and hosted by Honored Cultural Worker of the Republic of Tatarstan, Head of the Educational and Cultural Center of the “Kayum Nasyri Institute” Scientific and Educational Center of Kazan Federal University at Mirzo Ulugbek University, author and host of Tatar radio programs on the “O’zbekiston” Television and Radio Channel – Raykhan Yakhievna Mannapova. In her detailed report on the poet’s multifaceted work, the project’s author, Mannapova Raykhan Yakhievna, revealed the scale of his poetry: encompassing innovation, revolutionary forms, realism, the education of the younger generation, and subtle lyricism. And, of course, she spoke about how his work remains deeply relevant today. The report featured excerpts from Hadi Taktash’s poems “Mokamai,” “Jir Ullary” tragedy, and “Mähäbbät Täwbäse.” A documentary film dedicated to Hadi Taktash was shown. Presentations on the themes “Hadi Taktash and Uzbekistan” and “Rafael Taktash – Honorary Academician of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan and Son of the Great Poet” were also presented. These presentations were prepared by: Leading Researcher, “Society of Historians of Uzbekistan,” Honored Cultural Worker of the Republic of Tatarstan – R.N. Shigabdinov, and Candidate of Philosophical Sciences, Plekhanov University Branch – R.R. Nazarov.

The evening’s program naturally included recitations of Hadi Taktash’s poems: “Sagynu” (Longing) – from his love lyrics, performed by Honored Cultural Worker of the Republic of Tatarstan Rimma Gizatullina; “Iptäshlär” (Comrades), performed by the popular poetess Flyuza Zamanova-Mavlikayeva, as well as her own “Dedication to Taktash.” Excerpts from Hadi Taktash’s letter to his wife and lines from the poem “Alsu,” voiced by People’s Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Feruza Kholdarova, sounded particularly interesting. The evening became a declaration of love for the talent of the Great Poet! Throughout the evening, one thought ran like a red thread: “Taktash is the eternal morning of our poetry.” And in conclusion, to the question of who Hadi Taktash is, I would like to answer with his own lines from the poem “Mähäbbät Täwbäse”: “He himself is fire, himself is light, himself is song, he is in the deepest part of hearts…”
