On June 17, a joint meeting of Tatar national and religious organizations in Sochi took place. The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of the Tatars Vasil Shaykhraziev.

Among the meeting participants were First Deputy Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia Damir Mukhetdinov, Head of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia Nail Shakirov, Deputy Head of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia Fyanis Ataullin, Chairman of the Autonomy of the Tatars of Sochi Alik Urazaiv and others.

The main topic of discussion was the creation of a Tatar cultural and educational center in Sochi.
