Vasyl Shaykhraziev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of the Tatars, participated in a meeting on holding the 27th Federal Sabantuy in the Tomsk Region.
Vasyl Shaykhraziev explained that the Federal Sabantuy has its own history and attracts guests from across the country and abroad. He noted that the organizing committee for this region will be established as early as 2025.
The meeting was also attended by Vladimir Mazur, Governor of the Tomsk Region. In his speech, he stated that Sabantuy is the largest Tatar holiday and will be held in the Tomsk Region for the second time. He also thanked the Tomsk National-Cultural Autonomy and the Tatar Cultural Center for their support, noting their significant contribution to strengthening trade relations and placing great importance on tourism ties. Currently, the Tomsk Region is a center of Tatar culture. The Tomsk Region will take over the relay from the Omsk Region. The Federal Sabantuy will be held in the Tomsk Region in 2027.
