The regional celebration of Tatar culture “Sabantuy-2025” took place in Penza.

The Governor of the Penza Region reminded that this day is traditionally dedicated to honoring rural workers who contribute to the region’s food security. Oleg Melnichenko noted that the region’s agricultural producers have “a good outlook for the harvest” in 2025.

The Sabantuy held in Sputnik was described by the governor as a rehearsal for a much larger upcoming celebration.

“In 2026, the Penza Region will host the All-Russian Sabantuy. An organizing committee has already been formed and preparations are underway,” he wrote on his Telegram channel.

Thousands of guests from across the country are expected to attend. The governor promised to do everything possible to hold the event at the highest level.
